Carl Francis, the Director of Communications for the National Football League Players Association and the Hampton Roads Youth Foundation (HRYF) are setting up a virtual call with former NFL cornerback and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Deion Sanders.
The call will take place on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. and will be a virtual workshop for high school football coaches.
To register go to hryf.org and the deadline to register is Aug 11. At 11:59 p.m.
“Cancelling the High School Football Season has been tough on everyone, but especially our high school football coaches. They deal with so many different facets of managing a high school football program that this is a major adjustment to their normal schedule,” Francis said. “Everyone knows Deion Sanders as a Hall of Fame football player, but very few know him as a very successful high school football coach for Trinity Christian – Cedar Hill in the Dallas area. He has helped numerous young people earn college football scholarships, mentored kids who face challenging circumstances and help develop young men who want to be high school coaches. Even though he has won 3 consecutive high school football state championships, he has been a leader of young men. Having him speak to the high school football coaches in the Hampton Roads area is something we are very proud of. He is very familiar with our area through his relationships with Michael Vick, Bruce Smith, Lawrence Taylor, Percy Harvin and several others. He just wanted to show his support for our coaches and how we can all work together to help our young athletes.”
Today is the last day to register! 🚨🚨🚨 @DeionSanders https://t.co/enJQlxZnN5
