VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Natural Gas announced that it is set to hire dozens of new employees to be based throughout Southeast Virginia.
Virginia Natural Gas is looking for candidates to fill full-time positions including Project Coordinators, Construction Inspectors and Utility Workers across Hampton Roads.
The positions are being added to expand the company's investment in its natural gas infrastructure modernization program, and to continue to provide quality construction oversight due to increased workloads.
“At Virginia Natural Gas, we recognize the impact COVID-19 has had on the unemployment rates in our region and the uncertainty it creates,” said Jim Kibler, president of Virginia Natural Gas. “We are moving forward with plans to add new full-time team members and provide critical employment opportunities during these challenging economic times.”
Virginia Natural Gas was named one of the Top Workplaces in Hampton Roads for 2019.
The company's sister company, Southern Company Gas, family of companies announced plans to donate $2.5 million toward COVID-19 relief efforts, $300,000 of which was invested by Virginia Natural Gas. Additionally, Virginia Natural Gas instituted a stop on disconnections for nonpayment.
