The carnival organizers say the mixture of Caribbean, Latin, African and other ethnicities in Virginia Beach made it the perfect place to hold the festival, with global representations from Denmark, Japan, Bahamas, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Antigua, Virgin Islands, Africa, London and New York at the carnival.
