HAMPTON ROADS, Va. — You can satisfy your sweet tooth and contribute to a meaningful cause during Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day.
On July 25, Mid-Atlantic DQ (MADQ) will begin raising money for the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
Every Blizzard sold will automatically result in a $1 donation to a local CHKD hospital.

Last year Mid-Atlantic Dairy Queens were able to raise over $12,000 to fund mental health services for the children hospitalized at CHKD. This year, 15 locations across Hampton Roads are hoping to exceed this and raise at least $14,000.
In 2020, MADQ pledged a $5 million fundraising campaign across a span of 10 years. As of 2024, they report having raised $1.8 million, and they're on track to reach their goal by 2030.
"Helping kids see the world in a positive way will make the biggest impact on the future of the Hampton Roads community,” said Mitch Sandlin, CEO of MADQ in a release.

If you can't make it to a local Dairy Queen, Blizzard Treats purchased through mobile order apps such as DoorDash, GrubHub and UberEats are also eligible for the $1 donation.
