NORFOLK, Va. — The 37th Annual Grand Illumination Parade kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturday in Downtown Norfolk, kicking off the holiday season in the city!

The parade will immediately follow the Grand Illumination that lights up downtown's skyline, and starts at the corner of St. Paul's Boulevard and Main Street, and follows a two-mile course through downtown.

The city says this year's parade theme is "Gingerbread Dreams," which will be celebrated by marching bands, motorized units, floats, and Santa!

The Grand Illumination Parade is expected to bring tens of thousands of spectators to downtown to experience the magic and lights.

"This is the 37th year of the region's favorite holiday parade," said Mary Miller, president and CEO of Downtown Norfolk Council. "We are proud of the continued quality of this beloved tradition and thankful for the hundreds of participants and volunteers that make it happen."

And incase you can't make the parade in person, you can catch it on a Facebook livestream on Downtown Norfolk's page, or on their website!
