WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Great news, thrill seekers: Pantheon is now open at Busch Gardens Williamsburg!
Named one of the most anticipated coasters of 2022 by USA Today, the world's fastest multi-launch coaster opened to the public Friday.
Pantheon launches riders to new heights while traveling at speeds of up to 73 mph. Harnessing all the speed and strength of five of the greatest Roman gods, the ride stands 180 ft. tall, spans more than 3,300 ft. of track and features a 95° drop, four launches, five air-time hills and two inversions.
Opening day was marked with a Grand Opening Ceremony featuring elected officials and Busch Gardens fans. The ceremony culminated with Pantheon’s first official ride, honoring local educators, first responders and healthcare heroes.
“Our Members were among the first to experience Pantheon and after hearing their enthusiasm towards the ride, we are thrilled to now share this great attraction with all of our guests,” said Busch Gardens Williamsburg President Kevin Lembke. “This highly anticipated coaster is an amazing addition to our park, and we are excited to have officially opened Pantheon this morning. It was an honor to recognize frontline heroes and have local partners join in our opening festivities.”
Pantheon is Busch Gardens’ eighth coaster and elevates the park’s expansive collection of impressive and record-breaking thrill rides.
