NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Tis the season for package deliveries, but for some people, they're never received.
Porch pirates are swiping packages left and right, something Bruce Parham Jr. told us has happened to him six times this holiday season.
“I actually ordered a surveillance system to try to catch people stealing my stuff, and they actually stole the surveillance system when it came,” Parham Jr. said.

He said most of the packages were Christmas presents for his six-year-old son.
“Times are just hard and when people steal from you, they don’t realize they’re stealing from poor people, too," Parham Jr. said.
He said he's behind thousands of dollars on rent and utilities; he doesn't have the money to replace the presents.
“They’re such good kids, they deserve so much more,” said Parham Jr.
Despite his misfortune, he remains positive.
“I mean don’t get me wrong, times are great, even though it’s rough and everything we still have each other," Parham Jr. said.
