NORFOLK, Va. - A man is accused of attacking and robbing several people as they walked into their homes back in September.

39-year-old Cerone Stone was arrested for abduction, robbery, and other charges related to this incident. Norfolk Police got called for a robbery on September 5 around 8:30 p.m. A woman was walking into the common area of her apartment complex when she says a man came up behind her, pushed her to the ground, and snatched her purse.

Court records state that discarded property of the victim was found nearby along with the suspect’s property.

The next day, police were called just before 10 a.m. for a robbery right down the street. Records say a man was walking up to his house and was about to unlock the front door when he felt pressure to his back.

The victim stated that the robber said, “Where is the money?” The victim then had his wallet stolen. Records state that the suspect turned the victim toward the street and then had him walk around the side of his house. The victim was forced to stop at two banks prior to being robbed. Police say they observed surveillance video of the suspect following the victim to two separate banks, then to the victim’s house.

Police believe Stone is connected to this incident. Records state that the suspect vehicle in the second incident was a registered car to Stone’s late mother.

Stone is out on bond and has another court hearing on April 1.
