Pari Cruz joined the WTKR News 3 team in March 2022 and she is excited to get to know the Hampton Roads area!!
You can catch her at the anchor desk weekday evenings for the 4 p.m., 7 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts. She also does nightly reports you can see on the 11 p.m. newscast.
Pari comes to News 3 from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she worked as a bilingual anchor and reporter in English for CBS 58, and in Spanish for Telemundo Wisconsin where she covered the Kenosha protests that stemmed from the police involved shooting of Jacob Blake, the COVID-19 pandemic, and culturally impactful stories for the Latino community, such as immigration rallies, and stories of discrimination.
Prior to that, she spent two years as a weekend anchor and reporter in Rockford, Illinois for WTVO.
She earned her bachelors and master’s degrees in broadcast journalism and romance languages from DePaul University.
Pari is a born and raised Chicagoan, but has always loved to travel, and has been all over the world.
She is also a polyglot that speaks 5 languages!
As a Latina journalist, she is excited to promote diversity and inclusion, and tell your stories. She’s also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
When she’s not at the anchor desk, Pari likes yoga, dancing, trying out new restaurants, movies, and as a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, she’s always on the hunt for her next good cup of joe!
