YORK Co., Va. - One York County school has temporarily moved to remote learning.

A spokesperson for the York County School Division told News 3 Wednesday that Seaford Elementary School has temporarily shifted to remote learning due to the number of staff who are currently following COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.

The spokesperson said this procedure is part of the school district's Return to School plan, in which school officials may shift classrooms, grade levels or entire schools to remote learning to ensure safe operations.

Whenever someone who is learning in person or participating in school activities tests positive for the virus, the diagnosis is outlined on YCSD's COVID Dashboard and school officials notify that school or building.
