NORFOLK, Va.– Norfolk Police are investigating a shooting that left one woman dead Saturday night.
Police say around 10:15 p.m., dispatchers received a call in regards to a shooting in the 9500 block of 17th Bay Street.
23-year-old Denell N. Brooks was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she died from her injuries, according to police.
Police say 22-year-old India R. Lowe has been arrested and charged with second degree murder and use of a firearm in connection to this incident.
Lowe is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
