On October 22, 2020 an arrest was made for the death of an infant that occurred at an in-home childcare facility on September 17, 2019.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A Virginia Beach woman has been charged with homicide and child abuse after an infant's death.
Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Perrel Street on September 17, 2019 around 12 p.m.
Police and EMS were dispatched to the location and began lifesaving efforts on the infant. The child later died at a local hospital.
Police said it was learned that the residence was being operated as an in-home childcare facility, and 39-year-old Shylan Csatlos was the day care provider.
The investigation has led to the arrest of 39-year-old Shylan Csatlos of Virginia Beach, on charges of felony homicide and felony child abuse. She is being held in the Virginia Beach City jail.
