VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A new business featuring nutrition and energy drinks has just opened its doors in Virginia Beach.
“Vibes” opened its doors Monday, January 18. It’s located at 1650 General Booth Boulevard in the same plaza as One Life Fitness Red Mill.
Theo Baker is the co-owner of the family-run business. He said they also own a similar store in Fredericksburg called Refuel. Baker is from Virginia Beach and is excited to introduce himself and their business to the community.
“Our intention is to come in here, obviously get some good nutrition, but also get a good vibe – really feel good when they’re in here and make it a point to interact with them,” Baker explained.
The menu includes meal replacement shakes, teas, and energy drinks.
Baker said they sometimes make up new drinks, but they also get recipes from friends across the country who own similar nutrition and energy bars.
When talking about the meal replacement shakes, Baker said, “I have a lot of favorites, but right now, my favorite is Fried Ice Cream.”
The assistant general manager of One Life Fitness just a few doors down, said they’re happy to welcome more neighbors.
“We’re super excited to see more small businesses pop up around us. We love our neighbors here in the shopping center, but to have someone who’s more on the health range like we are- promoting healthy foods and diets, along with your exercise, we think that’s amazing,” said Liz Cartwright.
The grand opening of Vibes will be held Saturday, January 23 from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. They will have free samples and raffle prizes.
