VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach students who missed Monday's meal distribution because of the bad weather will still have a chance to pick up meals this week.

School officials announced breakfasts and lunch for Tuesday and Wednesday will be available for pickup between 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Tuesday's pickups will be at the 36 schools, not the neighborhood locations.

Virginia Beach City School leaders say in order to maintain the safety guidelines recommended by the CDC - meals will be provided using a drive-by and pickup model.

Lunches will be bagged and include both a breakfast and lunch. If anything changes, like time or locations, parents will be notified through an app called 'AlertNow', on the Virginia Beach school website, and through the school district’s social media sites as well.

Due to a power outage, officials said they will not be able to provide meal service at Lynnhaven Middle School Tuesday morning.
