VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach Police are investigating a death after a body was found inside of a burning dumpster Saturday afternoon.
According to officials, police responded to assist a dumpster fire case in the 4700 block of Columbus Street at 12:42 p.m.
Once the fire was extinguished, the Virginia Beach Fire Department discovered a dead body that was inside of the burning dumpster.
The body is believed to be a woman, according to police.
Both the Fire Investigators and the department's Homicide Unit are investigating the incident.
