The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 84,567 total cases, 81,393 of which are confirmed and 3,174 are probable. There are 2,078 total coronavirus related deaths, with 1,975 being confirmed and 103 being probable.
The case numbers are up by 958, and deaths are up by 3 since Saturday.
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Sunday, there are 781 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 393 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. Combined, the VHHA is reporting 1,174 people currently hospitalized for coronavirus related illness. That's 27 less hospitalizations from Saturday.
268 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.
143 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 620 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 3,077 in the state - that's 20% usage.
10,882 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.
