Watch: Gov. Northam updates Virginia following 12 more coronavirus deaths

Governor Ralph Northam held a press conference Tuesday to update the state on the growing pandemic.

During the press conference, Governor Northam moved June 9 primaries to June 23. Northam also recommended to move May elections to November.

Virgina's confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and deaths has risen over the past 24 hours.

Virginia now has 75 total deaths from the virus, this is up 12 more from Tuesday, according to the Virginia Department of Health.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is now at 3,645, which is up by 312.

Overall, 30,645 people have been tested for coronavirus.

The age group with the most cases is ages 50-59. That range has 730 confirmed cases.
