Edouard becomes post-tropical cyclone

Edouard, the fifth named system of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, is now a post-tropical cyclone.

It is moving quickly toward the northeast near 38 mph and this general motion is expected to continue for the next day or so.

Edouard is centered about 435 miles SSE of Newfoundland and moving quickly northeast.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph with higher gusts.

No significant change in strength is forecast before Edouard is is absorbed into a larger frontal boundary on Tuesday.
