VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - October is Filipino American Heritage Month and if you're looking for authentic Filipino baked goods -- look no further than Angie's Bakery!
Located on Holland Road, Angie's opened more than 30 years ago and has been operated by the same family ever since.
News 3 first visited in April, when the bakery started ordering twice as much flour to stay open during the pandemic and continue cooking up Filipino favorites like pandesal and ensaymadas.
“It’s authentic. It’s what people look for, especially the people who just moved here from the Philippines," the bakery's owner, Ken Garcia Olaes, told News 3 at the time.
Olaes took over Angie's from his uncle last year.
Angie's Bakery is open Tuesday through Sunday starting at 9 a.m.
