In October 2019, Reed was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Atlanta, Georgia in connection with a shooting that happened inside MacArthur Center Mall.
According to U.S. Marshals, Molek Alcantara and Daquan C. Reed, both from Portsmouth, were arrested in connection with the shooting that injured a 23-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman.
Reed was charged with accessory after the fact, however in his final hearing in January the courts came to no resolution.
