Suffolk Police investigating armed robbery at Speedway convenience store

SUFFOLK, Va. – Suffolk Police are trying to find the man they say robbed a local convenience store early Friday morning.

Dispatchers received a call about an armed robbery at the Speedway located in the 1100 block of Carolina Road just before 4 a.m.

After a preliminary investigation, police determined that a white male suspect entered the store with a gun, and took an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing.

No one was hurt during this incident.

The incident remains under investigation.
