NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk International Airport is celebrating the addition of a new carrier. Spirit Airlines is now offering daily flights to Florida.
On Wednesday afternoon, the inaugural flight took off from Norfolk, headed to Fort Lauderdale.
Airport leaders held a press conference, marking the new partnership.
Norfolk is now the second airport in the commonwealth offering Spirit flights. The carrier also has travel options from Richmond International Airport.
