Senator Tim Kaine says he is endorsing former Vice President Joe Biden for the Democratic presidential nomination.
In a tweet the senator sent out Friday morning, it says Kaine believes "We deserve better in the Oval Office."
America is afflicted by a President who delights in division, cruelty, lies, and chaos. We deserve better in the Oval Office. In Virginia's primary, I will proudly vote for @JoeBiden. Joe has exemplary heart, character, and experience—and he’s a leader our kids can look up to.

“It is sad to have a President who no one holds up as a role model for America’s kids. By contrast, Joe Biden has exemplary heart, character, and experience,” Kaine said in a statement provided to The Washington Post.
Among Virginia voters who are likely to participate in the Democratic primary on March 3, support currently stands at 22% for Bloomberg, 22% for Sanders, and 18% for Biden, according to a recent poll from Monmouth University.
This endorsement comes ahead of Biden's visit to Hampton Roads and Virginia's Democratic Primary on Super Tuesday on March 3.
