VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The U.S. Navy is celebrating its 247th birthday this week.
On Wednesday, Submarine Force sailors visited Windsor Oaks Elementary School in Virginia Beach. The sailors read to kindergarten classes and joined them in classroom activities.
The young students sang "Happy Birthday" to the sailors to celebrate the Navy's birthday.
