Regal Cinemas to close all theaters temporarily amid coronavirus pandemic

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. — Starting Tuesday, March 17, all Regal Cinema theaters will close temporarily as a precaution during the current coronavirus pandemic.

All theaters will be closed until further notice, the company announced Monday.

Below is a list of Regal locations in Hampton Roads:

  • Regal MacArthur Center - 300 Monticello Avenue, Suite 330, Norfolk, Va. 23510
  • Regal Greenbrier - 600 Jarman Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23320
  • Regal Strawbridge - 2133 General Booth Boulevard, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454
  • Regal Columbus - 104 Constitution Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462
  • Regal Harbour View Grande - 5680 Harbour View Boulevard, Suffolk, Va. 23435
  • Regal Kiln Creek - 100 Regal Way, Newport News, Va. 23602
  • Regal New Town - 4911 Courthouse Street, Williamsburg, Va. 23188

Last week, AMC Theatres announced its theaters would remain open, but capacity would be capped at 50%. In states with more restrictive bans on large gatherings, AMC said it would abide by state law.
