CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, car dealerships are now coming up with different and safe ways to continue to provide their services to their customers.
Priority Toyota on Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake is not only adhering to the six-foot rule when it comes to social distancing, but the company is also taking vehicles to customer homes for test drives, performing certain warranty work and customer recalls all at their customers’ houses.
General Manager Nick Mumejian tells News 3 Priority Toyota will also be providing a service to doctors and nurses by going to hospitals to clean and sanitize their cars for free as a 'Thank You'! Anyone interested in that free service should call their office at (757) 213-5000.
“For an example, tonight our Service Director has an appointment at 10:30 at night at Sentara Leigh to sanitize and clean the vehicle for a nurse over there and also for a physician. So, we’re doing that as part of thanking the community, thanking the nurses, doctors and first responders who have been helping out throughout this whole process,” said Mumejian.
Managers say the new procedures and sanitizing services will last throughout the pandemic.
There are also various companies offering free food and other discounts to first responders and healthcare workers. For that complete list, click here.
