HAMPTON, Va. — Around 12:14 p.m. on Dec. 6, Virginia State Police was called to investigate a possible shooting on Interstate 664 northbound at the Aberdeen Road exit ramp.
Troopers said preliminary investigation reveals that the victim, a 30-year-old man, was driving off the exit ramp when an unknown vehicle pulled up beside his vehicle and shot at it.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The unknown suspect vehicle fled the scene, according to troopers.
State police are seeking the community's help in locating any witnesses who may have seen the incident or any unusual behavior from a motorist before, during or after, or who may have witnessed the fleeing vehicle.
