The City of Portsmouth on Friday hosted its annual State of the City. It took place at the Rivers Casino, and Portsmouth leaders touted its economic impact, estimating the casino will provide $16 million in tax revenue.
City leaders highlighted economic growth. They said they added more than 300 new jobs and 500 new homes are under development.
In addition, $1.5 billion has been invested over five years.
The city said it expects an 8 percent revenue growth in 2023.
