Greene said she was not given a reason for her termination. She said she was given a letter Monday morning and that she will be filing a wrongful termination suit with her attorneys.
The decision was previously made to place Greene on administrative leave a few weeks after Greene announced that state Sen. Louise Lucas, NAACP members, school board members and public defenders had felony warrants issued in relation to their participation in a June 10 Confederate monument protest where a man was severely injured.
On Monday News 3 was in court where a judge dismissed all charges against Sen. Louise Lucas and other leaders.
Commonwealth's Attorney Stephanie Morales asked the judge to dismiss charges because she says based on the evidence, her office cannot and will never be able to prove Lucas or anyone else is guilty of the charges brought by the Portsmouth Police Department.
