PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Detectives have found a woman they were previously searching for after being considered a person of interest in relation to a deadly shooting that happened on January 26.

The shooting happened in the 1300 block of County Street around 1:30 p.m.

At the scene police found an unresponsive 16-year-old male with injuries consistent with being shot. Medics arrived shortly after and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second victim, a 23-year-old male, approached a law enforcement officer in the 800 block of London Boulevard. The second victim sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound to the upper body and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

On February 9 police said the woman is no longer a person of interest at this time.
