HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton Police are investigating a homicide that happened Wednesday morning.
Around 6:22 a.m., dispatchers received a call of a person dead in the 200 block of Manchester Drive. Officers arrived on scene to find a man who had been shot.
23-year-old Edward Brown Jr. of Newport News was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The motive and circumstances surrounding Brown's death are still under investigation, and there is no suspect information at this time.
Officials are still investigating.
