Police investigate Norfolk shooting after man goes to hospital with gunshot wound

NORFOLK, Va. - Police are investigating after a man went to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning police responded to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for the report of a gunshot victim.

Police arrived and located a man who had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The man told officers the incident happened in the area of E. Brambleton Avenue and Chapel Street.

The investigation is still ongoing.
