VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A man was arrested on murder charges after a woman was found dead in Virginia Beach Thursday night.
According to police, officers originally responded to a missing persons case in the 1200 block of Green Cedar Lane. There were suspicious circumstances surrounding the disappearance.
Officers began searching the address and located the body of the victim, 63-year-old Cynthia Sue Capps.
A short time later, police located and detained another resident of the address, 35-year-old Hagen Lawrence Roberts.
Roberts was charged with murder and is being held in the Virginia Beach City Jail.
