VIRGINIA BEACH Va. - Virginia Beach Police responded to a fatal pedestrian involved crash Saturday evening.
At approximately 6:45 p.m., Emergency Services received a call about a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle at the 1600 Block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Preliminary investigations show that the pedestrian was crossing Virginia Beach Blvd when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound, which knocked him to the ground into the eastbound lanes. He was run over by two additional vehicles.
The first vehicle that hit the pedestrian fled the scene.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No arrest have been at this time, this is an active investigation led by Virginia Beach Police Fatal Crash Team. More details to follow when they become available.
