The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Thursday, there are now 189,576 cases, 894 people hospitalized and 3,149 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 1,552 new cases, 24 fewer hospitalizations and 31 additional deaths from Wednesday.
Our local viewing area saw 35 new cases and no deaths. Hertford County reported the highest increase with nine cases.
A total of 2,714,175 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
