NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Police was investigating a barricade situation that took place in the Norview area after suspects fled officers.
After receiving reports of a gunshot victim around 12:50 a.m. Wednesday morning, police were dispatched to 6500 block of Chesapeake Blvd. Upon arrival, officers located a woman that was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
While investigating the shooting incident an officer saw the suspect vehicle and attempted to pull it over, but thee driver refused to stop. Officers pursued the vehicle into a nearby neighborhood where the suspects exited the vehicle and proceeded to run from police until entering an apartment located in the 1300 block of Johnstons Road.
The suspects were eventually taken into custody around 9:15 a.m. after a barricade situation at the apartment.
According to Police, the situation was resolved peacefully.
Further investigation led authorities to recover a stolen vehicle and seize multiple firearms.
