NORFOLK, Va. – Police have charged Duwayne Warren, 26, of Norfolk, with two counts of second degree murder after a 22-year-old woman and a 3-month-old infant were both found unresponsive inside their home Tuesday.
Norfolk Police responded to a report of adomestic disturbance that happened at an apartment complex located on the 9500 block of 6th Bay Street around 1 p.m.
According to a news release, at the scene, officers found that Epifani Andrews and the 3-month-old boy were both suffering from life-threatening injuries, and both were pronounced deceased.
Police took Warren into custody on-scene and he is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives have not released a motive or the circumstances surrounding this incident.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
