Over a dozen Hampton VA patients test positive for coronavirus; staff, patients and visitors must wear masks

HAMPTON, Va. - More than a dozen patients at the Hampton VA Medical Center have tested positive for the coronavirus, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs announced Wednesday.

At the Hampton facility, 13 inpatients and four outpatients have tested positive for COVID-19 as of April 1.

This is a rapidly-evolving situation, and the VA will provide updated information as it becomes available and verified.

Effective April 28 at 12 p.m., all Hampton VA Medical Center staff, patients and visitors are now required to wear a mask upon entering the facility.
