VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Navy Lodges around the world have stayed open during the coronavirus pandemic to support Sailors placed on restriction of movement status.

According to the Navy Exchange Service Command, as of Tuesday there were 23 Navy Lodges with more than 200 rooms being used by service members and military families that have been placed on restriction of movement status as a precaution.

The Navy Lodges are following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Bureau of Medicine and Surgery protocols when it comes to intense cleaning and sanitizing. That includes all guest rooms and frequently touched common areas.

Sneeze shields have also been installed at check-in desks.
