Here are the rank names for the new Space Force

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The newest branch of the U.S. military has released service-specific rank names.

The rank names for the Space Force took effect February 1.

Members will continue to wear Air Force rank insignia until the Space Force finalizes its own designs, which is expected to happen later this year.

The Space Force says they took "crowdsourced feedback" into consideration when determining the rank names.

Here are the ranks as released by the Space Force:
