VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Tables and tents are being put up Saturday morning for the Military Owned Market, a once-a-month event showcasing some of the region's veteran-owned small businesses.
Over 20 businesses are expected to be at the market, with products ranging from food, coffee, handmade products and more on sale.
Alexandra Craig, the organizer and a military spouse, said this event is a great way to support local businesses and veterans while keeping dollars local.
Congresswoman Elaine Luria, who represents Virginia's 2nd Congressional District, is also expected to visit the market.
The Military Owned Market is once every month on the third Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in front of 1701 Coworking on the corner of Baltic Avenue and Virginia Beach Avenue.
If you are a military veteran-owned business and would like more information on how to have a stand during future markets, click here to be taken to the market's webpage. Craig advised there is a waiting list with over 50 businesses signed up.
