Man arrested in connection with Norfolk parking lot shooting that left teen seriously injured

NORFOLK, Va. - A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a shooting in a parking lot that left a teenager seriously injured Thursday afternoon.

Around 1:55 p.m., police responded reports of gunshots in the area of 985 Ingleside Road. When officers arrived on scene, found a 17-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Dearon E. Mosley was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding and Use of a Firearm.

He is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.

This shooting happened just a few hours before another shooting in the city, this time in the 1200 block of Thistle Street. A man was also seriously injured and taken to Sentara Norfolk with life-threatening injuries.
