Man shot while jogging in Hampton, police investigating

HAMPTON, Va. - The Hampton Police Division is investigating a shooting that happened late Wednesday night.

According to police, at approximately 10:15 p.m., dispatch received a call in reference to a walk-in shooting victim at a local hospital. Officers arrived at the hospital and spoke to the victim, a 19-year-old man, who was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim told police he was jogging in the area when an unknown individual fired shots, striking him.

The incident remains under investigation, and there is no suspect information at this time.
