NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Newport News Police are investigating a shooting in the 700 block of 33rd Street that left a man dead Thursday night.
Dispatchers received a call of a shooting in the area around 9:38 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the man, who was suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The man was taken to a local hospital, where he died due to the severity of his injuries.
There is no suspect information at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
