Man seriously injured in Suffolk shooting, police investigating

SUFFOLK, Va. - The Suffolk Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that happened just before midnight Saturday evening.

According to police, Emergency Communications received a call at 11:52 p.m. last evening for a man with a gunshot wound on Freeman Avenue.

Police responded to the 6200 block of Freeman Avenue. The victim was taken by personal vehicle to a nearby hospital, where he was then taken to another hospital with serious injuries.

There is currently no suspect information or motive released.
