Man left seriously injured after Portsmouth hit-and-run

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Investigators with the Portsmouth Police Department Strategic Traffic Unit are investigating a hit-and-run that left one man with life-threatening injuries.

On Monday, October 12 around 1:30 a.m., officials were notified of an injured man on the ground at the intersection of George Washington Highway and Davis Street.

According to investigators, an unknown vehicle struck the male and left.

Investigators are asking that anyone with photos or video of the area surrounding the intersection of George Washington Highway and Davis Street from midnight to 3 a.m. on October 12, please upload here.

Anyone who has information about this crime is urged to call the Portsmouth Police Department Major Crimes Unit at (757) 393-8536 or to submit an anonymous tip through the Portsmouth Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP ℠.
