Man dropped off at Suffolk fire station after shooting

SUFFOLK, Va. - A man was dropped off at a Suffolk fire station after being shot Wednesday evening.

Dispatchers received the call at 6:08 p.m. Authorities say the man, identified as 22-year-old Tyrik Lamar Arrington, was dropped off at Suffolk Fire & Rescue Station 3 on White Marsh Road to receive medical treatment.

After Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel gave Arrington emergency medical assessment and treatment, he was ground transported to a local hospital. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

After a preliminary investigation, Suffolk Police determined that Arrington was shot in the 400 block of Oak Street in South Suffolk.

There is no further information, and the investigation remains ongoing.
