NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - A man has been charged with murder after a woman was killed on Saturday.
Police say around 7:30 a.m., emergency officials received a call of an 'unspecified problem' in the 1000 block of Blackwater Way.
Officers say that when they arrived on scene, a female victim, later identified as 22-year-old April Lee Logan, was suffering injuries and was pronounced deceased by medics.
Police detained a male at the scene, 25-year-old Matthew Allen Coglio, who was later charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and firearm in occupied dwelling.
