HAMPTON, Va. — Jimmy Eason, the former mayor of Hampton, died Tuesday, the city confirmed. He was 80 years old.
Eason served as the city's mayor from 1982 to 1998. Prior to that, he served as the city's director of economic development.
Eason was a graduate of Hampton High School.
