SURRY COUNTY, Va. — The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down in Surry County Saturday afternoon.

According to NWS Wakefield, a storm survey found damage consistent with an EF-0 tornado along Route 10, east of Spring Grove.

NWS estimates the tornado touched down around 4:46 p.m., based on radar data.

The National Weather Service did not provide specifics about the type or extent of damage found during the survey.
